Our Vision

Joan Snow scholars will learn and grow to their highest academic potential in a nurturing, safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment that will prepare them with knowledge and social emotional skills to be college, career, and life ready.

Our Mission

Joan Snow Scholars and staff will receive the resources, support and services they need to be successful and ensure that students and staff thrive to reach their full emotional and academic potential.  We are committed in developing the whole child, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.  We strive for each child to develop a curiosity of learning, discover their interests and grow into lifelong learners. We aim to develop strong family partnerships through collaboration, transparency, and shared commitment.

Joan Snow staff will continue their commitment to adult learning to further enhance their practice, through collective leader efficacy and working collaboratively in professional learning communities, differentiated professional learnings opportunities and peer coaching.

The Joan Snow Pre-K Center Logo.png

The Joan Snow Pre-K centers have been growing and helping District 22 children flourish since 2015, when they first opened their doors to our youngest learners. Each year, we have continued to expand, first adding additional pre-k classrooms, then adding several classes for students with special needs, and now we are adding 3-K to 2 of our 3 sites. At Joan Snow, we firmly believe in our vision, “Scholars will learn and grow to their highest academic potential in a nurturing, safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment that will prepare them with knowledge and social emotional skills to be college, career, and life ready.  Under the direction of Principal Rosalie Favuzza, we are dedicated to developing productive partnerships with families and staff members to ensure that our students needs are met; socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. At Joan Snow, we strive for each child to develop a curiosity for learning, discover their interests, and grow into lifelong learners.
